Leah seeks to provide each of her patients with a comprehensive, personalized approach to meeting their health care goals.
She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Global Health. She has over five years experience working as a registered professional nurse at NYU Langone Health in both the Transplant Surgery and Emergency Departments. While working in the ED, she witnessed first-hand the connection between poor lifestyle behaviors and adverse health outcomes. It is there that she decided to dedicate her career to proactively helping patients achieve optimal wellness. Leah received her Master’s degree from New York University’s world-renowned Adult Primary and Holistic Care programs. Leah approaches care using the functional medicine matrix, which addresses the individual's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.
She works closely with her patients, helping them modify lifestyle factors such as sleep, relaxation, exercise, nutrition, stress, and relationships, all of which greatly influence their overall health.
Leah is passionate about Global Health and has dedicated over seven years of her career to nursing education, promoting access to care, and understanding how culture influences health care perceptions. She is fluent in Spanish and has participated in transcultural health immersion programs in Guatemala, Argentina, Thailand, and Kenya. Through these experiences, she has learned different cultural approaches to health and healing that she incorporates into her own practice. Her holistic care interests include energy healing, essential oils, cupping, acupuncture, yoga, and Reiki.
